Brought in my 2011 Chevy Equinox with a 2.4 ecotech engine. After learning this engine is prone to failure pertaining to timing chain issues, Intake manifold internal pvc port plugging up causing rear main seal failures and excessive oil usage. I brought it to Johnson Auto. Not only did they do a a complete evaluation of my vehicle they kept me posted of everything they found. All said and done...My timing chain was worn (Which I could hear myself with engine running) my internal intake pvc port hole (GM more intelligent design) was completely plugged. (More than likely my excessive oil usage) was cleaned out, new timing chain installed along with coolant flushed/filled, oil/filter changed and serpentine belt replaced all within 2-1/2 days. During the process there was no surprises, everything was explained fully and all questions were answered. Highly recommend and they also give a discount for veterans. Thank you Johnson Auto.

Thank you for your review, Brian! We really appreciate the details you included as well. Our team does its best to fully explain what is going on with each vehicle. When our clients understand the situation and the reason for our suggestions, they are better equipped to decide what they want to have done immediately, and what can be addressed in the near future. We are proud to offer a discount to our country's veterans as a small token of our appreciation for their service. Thank you, Brian, for serving our country with honor.

Estimate of when they could look at my car. They diagnosed the issue, advised on potential issues and stuck to their estimate. Advised of future potential issues. Great service, reasonable prices and guarantees their work.

My college student got taken to the cleaners! We had to tow it to a real mechanic to find out what was really going on. He can do all kinds of the repairs they were demanding for what he paid for already! It started with a $500 repair then they upped it to 800, then $1500, 3000 and total 8000! Luckily we stopped them at $800. He drove it in and we had to tow it off their property!

I want to make sure the truth is told. We looked at the vehicle for a noise. Found a defective wheel bearing. Sold the bearing and repaired the noise, upon test drive we applied the brakes and a hydraulic line failed. We charged you for the line because we did not rust out the line and no matter how hard anyone hits the brakes you can not cause a line to fail unless it is already damaged. We attempted to repair the one line and could not get the bleeder screw open to the caliper the line leads to. Sold that as well. After repairs we bled the brake system and another line failed. At that point we could no longer safely patch the system together and quoted all lines hoses and calipers( because all other calipers where not opening up either) the quote for the brakes did reach up to 3500 or so. The reason the other quotes where written is because the vehicle had lots of things that could be fixed. I wish there was more we could have done and we tried hard to get you going at a reasonable price, but replacing a entire system on any vehicle is expensive. I hope you where able to get what you where looking for. Thank you
