Big Rapids and Mount Pleasant Auto Repair

I was driving home to Chicago from Elk Rapids and my car just full on went out on the side of the highway. I had to leave my car overnight on a Sunday at Johnson’s, not really knowing what was wrong or even if this was an okay place to leave my car. I heard from Mike by 8:10am on Monday (they open at 8) he was SO professional and SO patient with me. I was very nervous to drive my car home as I was over 3 hours away he reassured me that they did a complete look over my car, told me everything that was going on and had someone take the car out to ensure that it was safe to drive. Mike called me 4 times (because I asked) to check in and update me as well. I was really impressed and super appreciative for their service and their patience. If my car ever breaks down again in the middle of Michigan, I will be sure to take it here. I highly recommend. Thank you!

I had them change my struts and do allighnment.. They accidently punchered my cv axle boot but the very next day i bought a cv axle and they put it on for free.. Thanks mike and adam for all the help

As usual, Johnson's did a fantastic job. They even recommended to me I have less done to the car because it was not necessary. Will be back yet again.

Johnsons Automotive replaced the valve cover in February for my sons vehicle. Had to have valve replacement done again currently in September same year. Under inspection and at another location locally, the 2 bolts were missing that hold the valve cover down and throttle. Many of the bolts were loose as well causing the cover to raise. Had the work been of quality this leak and repair wouldn’t of been necessary. My daughter had to have work redone on her vehicle this year that had already been done by Johnson’s as well, but she choose to go somewhere else as well.I did contact Adam and told him about the current situation reminding him of my daughter as well and suggested they look into their mechanic better. He replied; thank you and I will do that. I do not and will not recommend Johnsons Automotive for repairs. They did however give my daughter her money back, but that’s not the problem. It’s the poor detail given when repairing vehicles. Will not be using their services in the future. My children are important to me and mechanical failure by default of poor workmanship is not acceptable.
