A missed diagnosis was fixed with no cost to me. They were upfront about it as soon as it was discovered and fixed it right. This was true transparency. That why we have been taking our cars there for about the last 10 years or so and will continue to do so.

You’re not truly learning unless you’re being honest and holding yourself responsible. All good things come with consequences. And we truly appreciate you understanding the mistake made was not our intention, and allowing us to start over and repair it correctly. Some people don’t think you should ever make a mistake and they get mad even when you do the right thing, and I’m glad we caught it before it left the shop.

We were driving from Lowell to Traverse City when we started having car trouble. I called them 3 minutes prior to closing and they told us to come in and stayed 2 hours late to help us out. Service like that is hard to find these days! Thank you!

I own a small business, and currently I am in the heat of a very busy season. I called into Johnson’s this morning, in need of an emergency repair on a band that broke on my gas tank while out on a route. I’m sure it’s challenging to do this for every instance, but they were able to get me right in and fix my problem within an Hour of calling. Greg, is always helpful and accommodating and I am very grateful for the work that Johnsons has done for my business, and myself. I would recommend Johnson’s automotive to anyone looking for quality, kindness, and prompt service. Thanks again, Greg, and staff!

That’s awesome. Hope you rock your business the way we do with ours , thank you

We were on vacation from Indianapolis heading up to the Traverse City area for Opening Day when the alternator went out on my 2015 Honda Pilot around the Big Rapids area. Got in touch with Johnson's Automotive and, upon hearing of our circumstances, they ordered the part and squeezed us in during what appeared to be a very busy day. Total time from calling the tow truck to being back on the road was about 2 hours. Barely a blink. Lee and the whole team were fantastic! Fishing trip disaster avoided. This trout's dedicated to Johnson's Auto Repair. :)

Awesome I am glad you men were able to get out there on time for some wonderful time and much needed relaxation. Thank you

The guys at Johnson’s made time to run a diagnostic on my vehicle for me same day. The office staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I would recommend this shop highly.

I decided to try Johnson's Automotive when my car started making some weird noises while driving, and I'm so glad that I did. Not only were they able to get me in quickly, but the service I received was hands down the best I've experienced with a car repair place. They were thorough and transparent throughout the entire process (even going on a test drive with me to make sure that they could hear the sounds that were happening). The prices are also much more affordable than other places in town. Sometimes getting your car fixed as a woman can be a little daunting, but I felt totally comfortable the entire time. My experience with Jake who worked at the front desk was awesome as well. He was friendly, explained everything clearly, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about the customers.

We look forward to every opportunity to help people succeed. Thank you for such a wonderful review. We appreciate you and everything you bring to this community and we genuinely just care about making things smooth and clear and it sounds like Jake nailed it.

This shop caused more issues than they fixed. I brought my truck in for a no start and a coolant leak both problems fixed while creating multiple new issues. My ABS light was on post service and they took it back inside to check it out and it’s just a sorry it happen while it was here… I now have a massive exhaust leak that was not present before service, A blown speaker seriously? It’s not like a minor crackle either the speakers is completely junk… I called and talked to “Lee” who is in charge or the owner I’m not sure but told him my issues and he disregards it and takes no responsibility for his horrible technician. I have already filed my complaint with the state of Michigan. People get screwed by auto shops daily don’t let them screw you over as well.

This vehicle is a 2008 Ford F150. The exhaust manifold studs are broken off like every Ford F150 in that year range, do to rust. As for the speaker I don’t know if it worked or not because we never listen to customers radios. Our policy is to turn the radio off as well as the blower fan so that we can listen to the vehicle for issues related to mechanical repairs. We don’t even have a radio in the shop. Nobody listens to the radio. We’re too busy talking to each other and listening to vehicles. The ABS light was on after the repairs and I was not responsible but thought it fair to pull it in the building and diagnose the issue for you even though it was not anything we did the vehicle needs a rear ABS sensor located in the rear differential housing, the differential which has bearing failure And is leaking very badly. I stated to you, I would go ahead and replace the sensor when you rebuild the rear differential (you have your own bearing kit and wanted us to rebuild the diff but we do not install customer supplied parts) and you were very upset about a lot of things as we went through the process with you. However I will not admit to doing something wrong when we did nothing wrong. You can ask anyone who knows me, I am the first one to admit when we did something wrong. I’m not gonna admit to doing something wrong when Rust is responsible for your exhaust leak, the rear differential damage is likely due to your ABS light and in 2008 speakers failed very commonly and we don’t listen to speakers unless a customer asks us to diagnose a speaker issue. We don’t damage customers vehicles and we didn’t damage your vehicle. We performed everything you told us to do and we made it very clear that this vehicle was very crusty and rusty, and we were going to struggle to complete the job, there were many other things quoted because it needs many other things. If we had damaged your truck in any way we would’ve been the first ones to say we did, we didn’t so it is what it is, I only tell the truth. I know you’re going through some tough times like the rest of the world and all I wanna do is help you get to a better place. Life is tough. I hope things get better for you. All repairs performed are still under warranty.
